What would you do...
... if you were locked in the Magic Kingdom at night? Would you eat all of the candy, ride all of the rides ... SEVERAL TIMES, would you collect EVERY Disney pin you could get your hands on? Now, for a moment, let's pretend that it's your JOB to police these areas, essentially Disney hired you to keep these areas safe. If you had the ability, what Disney movie would you "walk in to," ie. be a part of? If you were given the chance, would you change how the movie ends, the importance of one character or would you do your best to NOT change the production? How about this, what would you give to go to Disney World or even Disneyland on OPENING DAY?? Time traveling back and actually BEING there! Would you go back far enough to shake hands with the man himself? Or would you just like to be part of that day and help in the Magic?
The basis behind the game of, Kingdom Traders, is this: If you were asked by Disney to help police all known Parks, Movies, Stage Entertainment and ALL other aspects of the company, while still practicing their ideas of importance of story, keeping 'the magic,' having fun and using imagination, all in an area where kids and adults are equal, would you do it?
Of course you would! So would I ... or, more importantly, so would WE!
We are, Kingdom Traders, a group of Disney-enthusiasts who use our love for Disney to get together and adventure together through the Disney Universe. We do this with a few simple things: paper, pencil, dice and some friends. Our characters reflect our love of any of the Disney Characters and we, as a group, go through a story solving any number of different problems, fixing issues, helping Disney Characters and just making everything right again.
What started out as a little game, in 2015, between some friends to prepare for their Summer Trip to Disney World in 2017, has taken a life onto itself. We now get together almost monthly, eat some food, throw some dice and save the world. Not too bad for a Saturday night!
